About
A bit about who I am, what I do, and why I started writing.

Harrison Smith
Wakefield, West Yorkshire
I'm Harrison — a Delivery Manager based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. I work in digital transformation, helping teams ship software that matters. I'm passionate about creating genuine value partnerships with clients, not just delivering what's asked but challenging the brief, understanding the why behind the work, and making sure what we build actually moves the needle. I lead with honesty, collaboration and a data-driven mindset. I hold PRINCE2 Practitioner and Certified Scrum Master certifications, and I'm completing a Level 6 Project Management Degree Apprenticeship at Northumbria University, fully qualifying in October 2026.
Outside of work, you'll find me playing 11-a-side football on Saturdays, watching Leeds United (for better or worse), training for a marathon, hiking, wild camping, travelling, or at the gym.
I started this site because I wanted a space to think out loud. Some of that thinking is about delivery management — things I've learned on the job, frameworks I've tested, mistakes I've made. Some of it is about university and what it's like juggling a degree alongside full-time work. And some of it is just about life, sports, and whatever's on my mind that week.
I believe the best way to learn something properly is to write about it. So that's what I'm doing here.
I'm always happy to chat — whether it's about delivery management, something I've written, or sporting achievements. Find me on LinkedIn or drop me a message on the contact page.
